Known for their exceptional skill and passion, the group showcases a range of instruments: Sinéad (fiddle, guitar, vocals), Eugene (fiddle), Peter (uilleann pipes), Daniel (accordion), Ciarán (harp, piano, vocals), James (concertina), and Catriona (fiddle). Together, they bring the rich heritage of Irish music to life with their captivating performances.

Meibh, Naoise & Fianait Dooley:

Meibh, Naoise & Aoibhe are a family of multi-instrumentalists from the rural area of Rath, Co. Offaly. They have been playing music together and composing tunes from a young age and are now heavily involved in teaching music and mentoring Grupa Ceoils and Céilí Bands in the Craobh Chuilinn branch of Comhaltas. They were recently crowned All-Ireland Senior Trio Champions at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2024 in Wexford.

Birr Figure Dancers:

Birr has long been renowned for its figure/ceili dancers at both junior and senior level. It continues to produce county, provincial and in recent years All Ireland champions .

The members of this year’s team have danced together in various combinations over the last twenty years in both Scór and the Fleadh Cheoil, and following their All Ireland triumph in Scór, last year the team returned to defend its All Ireland title at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2024. The Birr group also broke records when they became the four hand ceili champions also, making them the double senior All Ireland Champions for 2024

A passion for dance and a loyalty to each other means these ladies travel back from all corners of the country to their home town putting their best foot forward to prepare once again for the new upcoming competition season.

Having performed in venues such as the Royal Theatre Castlebar, Wexford Opera House, the Waterfront in Belfast and the INEC in Killarney the Birr Rince Foirne ladies can’t wait to step out at this years TradFest.
